  Wish I could give less than one star. Doctor put some antibiotic ointment and a band-aid on my hand & I'm being charged $40 for it. Didn't have to pay a co-pay because it was after hours but I would have preferred that over a sneaky $40 payment. Thanks a lot, MedExpress. I'll be letting everyone know how much you guys suck.

  Excellent care with most kind and professional staff I've ever had the pleasure of encountering in a medical environment! The medical assistants were outstanding, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly--even though it was a Saturday afternoon and my being there very obviously interrupted their lunch time (only obvious because food was delivered while I was being checked in). When I apologized for interrupting lunch, all of the staff within ear shot replied that it was not a problem and that they could eat anytime. Many might say that to be nice, but these ladies seemed to genuinely mean it. After I got checked on (which was just minutes following my arrival at the facility), I was shown to a room and my vitals were taken by another medical assistant. Just minutes after that, I was seen by Dr. Sharon Gavin. She was professional, gentle and kind. She was the sort of doctor one might imagine seeing in a family tv movie: like she actually enjoyed her work and really cared for the well-being of her patients. She provided the care and treatment I needed while making me feel like I was important to her. I don't remember feeling this good after a visit with the doctor since I was a child and given a lollipop for good behavior. Truly, I cannot say enough great things about the care I received at MedExpress Urgent Care of North Port. I would very highly recommend being seen here if you are need of quick, non-emergency care treatment.
